'T Gagel

How do you design a radically diverse identity? And can a website be truly regenerative?

Het Gagel is more than just a farm; it is a vision for the future located in the Achterhoek region of the Netherlands. As a Lenteland farm, it is part of a collective of regenerative farms acquired by a foundation specifically to restore and enhance local biodiversity.

The team at Het Gagel is transforming a massive estate in Ruurlo, shifting from hectares of monoculture rye grass to a thriving, living ecosystem. We channeled this transformative energy into a vibrant visual identity filled with illustrative elements. The result is a tactile, recognizable style that balances accessibility with a quirky, independent spirit.

The digital side of the project pushes the boundaries of eco-conscious web design. In collaboration with Ibo Ibelings who merges high-tech expertise with a deep love for nature, and Jeanine Zielman an expert in integrating sustainability with digital design, we explored how a website can reflect regenerative values
